Log driver's cabin

In the weeks of the log drive, the log drivers slept in cabins or halvbæres (shelters) that were built along the rivers. The log driver’s cabin at Blokkodden used to stand at Femunsenden and rooms an exhibition about log driving and the tools and equipment used during the log drive. Log driving on the rivers in Engerdal ceased in 1991. The equipment did not change much from the 1700s, when log driving became common, to the end in 1991.
